I always loved to sing, but I never found my voice reliable— I had training for voice in acting, but it hadn’t crossed over into singing for me. I didn’t know how to make the sounds I wanted to make, on a consistent basis. In just the first few weeks that we worked together, Michael introduced me to techniques and a practice that has opened up my confidence and creativity when singing, and even helped me with simple fixes I’ve incorporated in my warmups for auditions in VO so that I can know I’ll have a consistent performance.
Our very first lesson was right after an audition where I’d had to scream for help over and over… I sheepishly had to tell him I wrecked my voice. He took me through some exercises and had me singing effortlessly and comfortably by the end of our session. It genuinely felt like magic. Highly, highly recommend!
